NEURO REHABILITATION PROGRAM



Dar El Mona neuro rehabilitation program is addressed with a holistic approach that constitutes of developing a customized and integrated treatment plan for every patient, depending on the specific problem or disease. Speech pathologists conducts the initial assessment of speech and develop a treatment plan that will be implemented by our speech therapist, this plan may include:

  • Dealing pathological problems such as swallowing

Cognitive Rehabilitation Program


This program is designed to help patients with stroke and traumatic brain injuries, who suffered from memory and concentration problems. Our program helps the patient to re learn cognitive skills that was impaired from the injury and if this skill cannot be re acquired, they will help the patient acquire new cognitive skill.


Bladder Rehabilitation Program


Bladder dysfunction is common following spinal cord injury, and up to 15% in cerebrovascular stroke. The main goal of this program is to increase the amount of time between emptying your bladder and the amount of fluids your bladder can hold. It also can diminish leakage and the sense of urgency associated with the problem.


Education Techniques


  • Proper techniques of intermittent self-catheterization (including timing and frequency)
  • Effects of oral medications on bladder function
  • Use of facilitative bladder emptying techniques
  • Efficient use of assistive devices employed in bladder care
  • Possible long-term co morbidities and complications
  • Management of some emergencies like absence of urine output secondary to a kinked catheter
  • Prevention of potential complications, such as urinary tract infection
  • Pelvic floor exercises
  • EMG biofeedback
